A new understanding of the word God

As we evolve through time, it is normal that our understanging of what is God also evolves and betters itself.

If before, in the times of Moses for example, God was perceived as being a terrible judge, sitting on his trone in some part of the universe, punishing us for every infraction, it was because in those times, intergrating the notion of justice was already a huge step forward in the moral evolution of a barbaric humanity.

Of course, this way of conceiving God in the Old Testament is ... very old. While it might have been perfectly appropriate for its era, it does not correspond anymore to the average level of evolution of human beings nowadays. If than, you were to ask me if I beleive in God, and have in mind the idea of an old and angry man with a beard, sitting somewhere on a cloud, it is certain that I would answer: "No, not in this way."

Let us now continue with a new example. Some millenias after the passage of Moses and many others, came into the world two extraordinairly evolved souls, whose missions were to be the channels, each in different parts of the globe, of new spiritual currents to come on earth at the time. Thus, Jesus and Buddha came to add something new by inspiring in the people who were ready to follow their teachings, the notions of compassion and love towards all creatures. They also brought, both in a colossal way, something very precious to the scene of the world; they were amongst the first human beings to publicly carry what we call "Christic consciousness" in the West, and "Buddhic consciousness" in the East.

Unfortunatly, as this often happens, the essential message that represented the words and life of these carriers of light, was gradually lost to a much more materialistic understanding of their teachings. In the case of christianity especially, the esoteric keys which carried this religion (just as all religions do at their basis), were very often left aside for false and sectarian ideologies. Yes, because every mouvement of thought that does not consider all human beings as brothers and sisters, all children of the same Father, and that oppose them one to the other, divides in "sections" the unity of the world. Thus, even the biggest religions and political groups, can sometimes be considered as being sectarian.

In this way, if you were to ask me if I beleive in God, and that you had in mind the monstruous invention of the church which claims that whoever does not beleive in Jesus, will go to hell for all of eternity, well, it is certain that I would answer you again with: "No". That false idea has nothing to do with the true religion of Christ. In the same way, if you were to ask me if I beleive in God and that you have in mind the idea of blowing up people in order to destroy the infidels, it is just as certain that I would again answer with a no. A very firm one this time, as it would only be fanatism that you would be speaking of, put to the profit of malicious intentions that have nothing to do with spirituality. And on another level, even if you were to ask me if I aspire to attain nirvana, and that in your mind, it is important to do so in order to escape from an unending round of rebirths, I would also answer you with a no. To me, this is not a true understanding of what reincarnation is.

All these ideas on what is God and paradise, are deformations of the original message brought by the great Initiates of old. Sometimes even, they are simply lies, invented by malicious people in positions of power. It is then very understandable that with such conceptions of what is God, many have distanced themselves from religion.

That said however, to the contrary of atheists, If you were to ask me in the right way if I beleive in God, I would answer you: Yes !!! And I would even add with alot of hapiness that I do not only beleive in Him, but that I feel myself to be living in Him. That He is always beyond all of creation and at the same time, present in every parcel of light that constitute it. That He is closer to me than myself even, and that still, I feel him as a model of perfection so distant to attain, that I still have many billions of years ahead of me before I can meet up to Him; "Be perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect".

Curious answer isin't it? Well, the explanations are coming : - )

According to me, it was permitted by comsic Intelligence that the materialist philosophy would win over the world for a certain amount of time, in order that some of the old forms of religion, who in many cases have become fanatism or way too superficial, might fall. Because even a religion can become too material, when it loses authentic contact with Spirit. However, following that demolition of old forms which had to happen, will come and is already started even, a renewing, a betterment. The birth of a new form of spirituality way more appropriate to the level of comprehension of our era. This new spirituality, of which "new age" is only the beginning, will finally unite science and religion in an harmonious whole. It will not be necessary anymore to choose between these two facets of Life, both will walk hand in hand in the same direction; the uplifment of the human soul.

Of course, because why would God have given an intellect to human beings, if it was not meant for them to think and make discoveries? And in the same way, why would He have given us a heart, if it was not so that we could feel enthousiasm and wonder before the Intelligence of the universe, before the beauty of nature? “Sublime is the universe!” Well, all the scientists who have ever spoken these words, were in fact conveying ... religious feelings! Just as every religious person who has ever questionned himself on the why of Creation, was thinking like a scientist. The heart and the intellect, there is only that everywhere in reality. Why then, could they not work together?

Why is it for example, that the fact of praying (not mechanicly of course, but in a sincere way, according to the words of our own hearts) should only be important from a religious point of view, and not a scientific one? In the new comprehension of God, the importance of spirituality will be understood in all domains of Life.

A good image to represent that importance is that of a lightbulb and an eletric central. As long as a thread does not link them together, the current cannot pass and then, no light is possible. In the same way, when we pray, when we meditate, when we live a beautiful moment of contemplation and offer all of our heart to Life, we are in reality "connecting" ourselves with the Source. Thanks to that, the "current" can circulate in a better way than ever, and we can thus enligthen, warm and vivify the people who surround us, since we ourselves have received the same blessings from a higher power. We can then become the channels of higher energies, and that is a real blessing for the world. Everyone has at least once, realised one of these "connected" moments, whether it be consiously or unconsciously. Well, I am certain that these moments were the happiest in the lives of every human being. If we study the hapiness that comes from such a "connection"; it gives us a first idea of the all importance of leading a spiritual life. Well understood, spirituality does not bring us aways from people and the world, but rather, it permits us to bring to it the freshness of pure and new energies! It is never the length of a prayer that makes its power, but really, its sincerety, intensity and the purity of what it asks for. Whomever simply asks to be an uplifting presence for those around him, will never see his request denied.

Also, it is just as important for a human being to furnish the efforts to connect himself with the Source, to feed himself spiritually, than it is to eat physicly. Without God, without spirituality, people feel empty. Already, this should be understood as a sign that they are making a mistake. They start to beleive that life is cruel, and that is normal, since they have lost contact with the Meaning of things. We could say that in a way, they suffer from spiritual anemia. They have forgotten to nourrish the most important part of their being; the soul and Spirit. Just as Pierre Teilhard de Chardin said: “We are not human beings having spiritual experiences, we are spiritual beings having the human experience.”

With this holistic vision of the world, it becomes clear that nothing is more important to the rightful functionning of our being, than to live an authentic spirituality. It is simply a matter of not forgetting to feed an essential part of ourselves.

We are all connected to Life, not just physicly, but also in our conscience. Thus, whomever has cut the link with the Source, will sooner or later, ressemble in his soul and in his way of being, to a leaf that has fallen from a tree. Symbolicly speaking, such a person would be without color and curled on himself. Of course, because how long can a leaf live, if it is not linked with the tree who nourrished it?

In the same way, and always according to symbolic language, whoever is tern, grey, without momentum or inspiration, proves that he is underfed spiritually. Of course, it is possible for a human being to live only biologicly, but he should not then expect the tears that come from great joys, or the feelings of rapture that are the culminating point in spiritual life; they will simply then be impossible.

Here is another image in order to better understand this idea. The sun is located at the center of the solar system and from there, sends its light and warmth to all of the surrounding planets that gravitate around it. Without the sun, everything would be dark and cold, and life would simply be impossible. This phenomenon finds its echo in human consciousness, since it is said that the Source, or God, is just like a spiritual sun; heating, enlightening and vivifying all creatures, for as long as they open up to its light. And so, a human being who only concentrates on the material sides of things, who cuts off the sun from it's life, symbolicly speaking again, sees the same thing happening in his conscience. Without light, without the fire that could enlighten him and things around him, he is left to battle alone against the wild beasts in obscurity (his lower instincts), and runs the risk of falling into gaps at all times.

Collectively, the same is true. When many human beings cease to beleive in cosmic Intelligence and stop seeing its Presence which is everywhere, they expose themselves to all of the greatest dangers. Thus, a drop in morality, the enslavement of the people by publicity, pollution, etc, can only occur when there is no, or very little, light in the world. Have you ever noticed that almost all publicities, are advertising their products by implying that they will make us more complete? Have you also noticed that many dictators are trying to convey the image that they are modern gods to their people? Have you ever thought about the fact that we are consciously destroying ourselves with pollution (which also includes bodily pollution, such as smoking for example)? That is not normal.

For as long as we have not filled the space that should be filled with Spirit, others will try to fill it in our place... For as long as we are not linked with the superior energies of the Universe, the lower ones will have the possibility to manifest themselves in our lives. Just as when a being is not linked with Heaven, he is ruled by his lower instincts which, inevitably lead him to his downfall sooner or later.

Also, for as long as we have not globally established a spiritual link with the Source, which can also be called the Center, how can we beleive that unity will be possible in the world? How can we beleive that, without the Teacher in the classroom, everything will go fine with the students? That without it's Head, the global body of men will be capable of health? That without it's Nucleus, the electrons of an atom will continue their harmonious round? That without the Sun, the solar system would be in a much better shape?...

Of course, it was necessary for some time that the idea of God was put aside, so that all the abominations which were put on that word by dishonnest people, could disappear. But to think that this must be the case for eternity, would be the greatest of mistakes; it would be just like keeping the water after a bath, and throwing away the baby, which was the whole point of the bath. No, we must throw away what has been soiled, but keep the baby, which symbolicly means; God understood in a pure way, as the Source, the cosmic Intelligence. Because nothing is more important, nor more real!

From our connection to the Source, depends our hapiness, clarity of mind and most of all, peace.

That is why the materialistic philosophy will disappear very soon; first of all, it is incorrect, and secondly, it is dangerous. Its role is over. Let us now greet the Creator back into our hearts, in a more profound way then ever : )

In gratitude and joy,
